Or so I wrote at the start of December. Of course it did indeed turn out that 2023 arrived without my having got near to finishing a few things that I stupidly imagined might be quick updates. They’re all held over for January—and editing at the end of January, I am unsurprised that most of what I hoped to do in January is now held over for February.
On a personal note, I should add that I am not at all unhappy that I was able only to pick at my research and writing through December and finish so little. I instead had a great reminder of familiarity with a brother and his wife on an extended visit.
